It was very, very sad to hear of Brian's death. Herb and he went to the Paston Grammar School in North Walsham, Norfolk during the 1940-50s. Brian was a year older. After we both did National Service Brian in the Marines and Herb in the RAF, we shared lodgings in Muswell Hill, London during the first 2 years of our University Lives. Brian daily attended University College,London studying for a degree in Geology and I went daily to the Royal Veterinary College, in Camden Town to become a Veterinary Surgeon. We kept in touch for the rest of our lives. So, this day of parting is very sad.
