Andrew was born in Shaftesbury, England in 1955 only son of John and Joan Fowles, brother to Jane. He qualified as a registered nurse in Bedford General Hospital and continued to work in healthcare in varying roles at Fremantle Hospital, West Australia and Papworth Hospital. Following retirement from the Health Service Andrew joined Wolfson College, Cambridge as a Porter and was Head Porter at the college at the time of his death. He was very proud of his role in the college.
Andrew was passionate about travelling and spent much of his time either travelling or planning his next trip. Andrews greatest pride was his family and he is survived by Jo-anne, his wife of 39 years, his son Luke and daughter Hannah.
British Lung Foundation has been researching lung conditions for 30 years. Today, it remains at the heart of what they do. Their aim is always to improve care - and to prevent, treat and cure lung diseases.

In memory of Andrew.

So sorry to hear of Andrew’s passing, it was a privilege knowing him and an even bigger one to call him a friend. The world is a poorer place without him. Love to Jo, Hannah and Luke.
