Funny, kind and intelligent, Charles Michael Wigan (known as Michael) was interested in everyone and everything. He was a family man: a beloved husband to Helen, father to Adrian and Isabella and grandfather to Tilly, Christian and Dorothy. For almost seven decades, he was a committed and active member of the Worshipful Company of Weavers. If you wish to make a donation in Michael's memory, the family have chosen the Weavers' Benevolent Fund.
Like many livery companies, the Worshipful Company of Weavers has a strong charitable focus. The principal aim of the Weavers' Benevolent Fund is to support people in trouble, particularly young offenders and ex-offenders, as well as other disadvantaged young people. Preference is given to pump-priming new projects, especially those that are innovative and can serve as a model elsewhere.
