Margaret Olive Williamson was born in Lowesoft in 1923 and was the eldest daughter of Edward and Emily Purling. Margaret moved to Cambridge in 1940 to then begin working at Marshalls airport towards the end of the second world war. Following this Margaret then spent a year in Germany working with UNRWA before returning back to Cambridge in 1958 to work for the Cambridge University Press. Margaret then worked on the Oxford and Cambridge Examinations board in the late 60's until retirement when she then became a treasurer for Wesley Luncheon Club and Queen Edith TWG. Despite her age Margaret managed to remain active up until the last eight months before her story came to its peacefully end on the 24th of February 2024. Margaret will be deeply missed by all.
