Messages of condolence

David was always a good friend to Ralph and me. And through Ralph’s struggles David would share his positivity with us. I always admired his quick wit,he could make you smile, even when you were feeling down. Rest in peace David. Jane Wiseman.

Mrs Jane Wiseman

We met Dave when we moved into our first house in Royston. A delivery van hit David,s car whilst delivering us a fridge freezer and from that day in October 2002 we became firm friends. Both David and Lynne were there when our son was born in 2003 and they both have been a constant surrogate grandparent to him. We’ve shared many lunches together and they were both always part of our sone annual birthday celebrations. They both were like family to us. We will cherish the memories we have and know Dave will now rest in peace alongside his life long soul mate Lynne. God Bless Kalpesh Vanessa & Solomon xxx

Met Dave on our first day at secondary school in Tiptree and were friends all through those school years always in the same class and always vying for top of the class. Following this there was football with Tiptree CYC, great nights out and several holidays with the boys. We always remained friends and kept in touch throughout although recently mainly from afar. Dave was always great company, had great fortitude and was able to keep a very positive attitude to his and Lynne's recent battle with their health issues which I am sure was very comforting to Charles. He will be sorely missed by us all. Bernie & Margaret

Dave you were and always will be a great friend that brought laughter and happiness into so many of our lives. Even when you were in Black Notley hospital after your accident with your leg in plaster and hanging in the air you always had a smile on your face and a witty remark to make to me and Judith laugh on our weekly visit. You would always make us smile and it was always a pleasure to be in yours and Lynn’s company. You are now reunited and we are sure you will be bringing joy and happiness to everyone around you. Thanks mate for the memories you are one very special person, the world will be a sadder place without you but heaven will be filled with joy. RIP my dear friend

Thanks for all those CYC memories and Saturday afternoons - first the match, then back to your very patient Mum for tea and Dr Who, followed by the Robin Hood and Beechcomber Room in Clacton! Carefree days and always your sense of fun, mischief and wit, even if it got us into the occasional scrape!! Happy times and you more than contributed to them. Rest easy Earwig!
