Messages of condolence

In loving memory of George, a long term volunteer at Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery. A very special member of our team who will be missed by all. His passion for history loomed as large as he did, he definitely taught us a thing or two about the Yugoslavian partisans!

This has very upset me hearing about this. I knew George for About 20 years. George was a lovely, caring, calm, intelligent, gentleman I ture gentleman And these days that is rare. I met him through warhammer Spending hours playing Games with him. Interest went further than that through flame of war and bolt action. We started a gaming group at friday evenings at the Rife, playing games and talking about military history And we was able to keep that going for about 5 years truly enjoyed it. Truly, I will miss him. Just Wish I was able to play one more game together

George Chapman, You were a gentleman, the kindest soul to bless those who got to know you and the most giving. Thank you for all that you did for me growing up; Warhammer, School and general life. I’ll never forget you or the fact I bumped into you recently and grabbed a coffee with you, I just wish it wasn’t our last. Condolences are with your family. Gone, but never forgotten my friend.
